A Short History
Our alma mater, located in New Hope, MN, opened on September 7, 1964 as E. J. Cooper Senior High School. Independent School District 281 was the first Minneapolis suburban district to open a second high school - Cooper. The Class of 1982 was the last class to have diplomas from E. J. Cooper High School. Robbinsdale High School closed in 1982. Both E. J. Cooper and Neil Armstrong High Schools were renamed. "Robbinsdale" was added to both and "E. J." and "Neil" were dropped.
